Stephen E. Zahn, Chief Executive Officer and Chairman of the Board
Stephen E. Zahn, CEO and Chairman of the Board of Directors has been with First Federal Savings Bank since May of 1964. Steve is a graduate of Marquette University.
Steve currently serves as Chairman of the Board of the Peabody Retirement Community, Board member of the Huntington University Foundation, member of the Huntington University Finance Committee, YMCA Foundation, and Huntington County Community Foundation. In 1990, Steve was named "Chief of the Flint Springs Tribe", Huntington County's most prestigious award for community service.
With 45 years in banking, Steve has served as Chairman of the Indiana League of Savings Institutions, past board member of the Federal Home Loan Bank of Indianapolis and served on the board of the American Community Bankers in Washington, D.C.
Steve and his wife Alyce, are life-long residents of Huntington County. They have four grown children and eleven grandchildren and attend SS Peter & Paul Catholic Church, where Steve serves on the Finance Committee.
Michael S. Zahn, President
Michael Zahn is the third generation of Zahn's to hold the title of President at First Federal Savings Bank in Huntington. Michael began his career with First Federal in 1996 becoming a Senior Vice President and serving on the Board of Directors in 2000.
Michael holds a bachelor of arts degree from Indiana University and earned a master of business administration degree from the University of Notre Dame in 2004.
Zahn is a past President of the local Optimist Club and Junior Achievement, and serves as the Board Chair of the YMCA. Michael is also the current Board Treasurer for Junior Achievement and current Board Chair Elect of the Bowen Center. He is also active in Optimist Club, United Way, Lime City Economic Development, and is a member of Jaycees and the Knights of Columbus.
Michael and his wife Susan, live in Huntington with their three small sons. They are parishioners of SS Peter & Paul Catholic Church.
Dee Ann Hammel, Senior Vice President and Chief Operations Officer
DeeAnn Hammel, Senior Vice President and Chief Operations Officer has been with First Federal Savings Bank since October of 1975. DeeAnn began her career with First Federal as a teller and has had many different responsibilities over the years. DeeAnn is responsible for the day to day operations of all five First Federal Savings Bank locations, and serves as the Compliance officer and Security officer for the bank.
In the past, DeeAnn has served as a board member of the American Red Cross, Heritage Days Committee member, Chief's breakfast co-chair, and a volunteer with the United Way of Huntington County. She currently serves on the American Bankers Association Payment Systems Committee and is a volunteer with the Kiwanis Study Buddy program with a local elementary school.
DeeAnn resides in Huntington and has two daughters, and two grandchildren.
Randy J. Sizemore, Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer
Randy Sizemore joined First Federal Savings Bank in 2002 as Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer. Randy graduated from Ball State University with a B.S. degree in Accounting. In August of 2008, he was awarded a diploma from the Graduate School of Banking at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. Randy brings 15 years of financial institution experience to First Federal.
Randy is a member of the Huntington Rotary Club, a board member for Huntington County United Economic Development, a board member for Pathfinder Services, and is a graduate of Huntington County Leadership.
Randy resides in Huntington with his wife and their four sons where they are members of the First Church of the Nazarene.
Thomas N. Mills, Senior Vice President and Commercial Lending Officer
Thomas N. Mills, Senior Vice President and Commercial Lending Officer has been with First Federal Savings Bank since July of 2006. Tom has over 19 years of Corporate Lending experience and has worked with clients in the manufacturing, healthcare, investment real estate, agricultural, service, retail and wholesale industries. His primary function at First Federal is managing and developing business banking relationships within the Northeastern Indiana area. Before joining First Federal Saving Bank, Tom served commercial banking clients in the Fort Wayne, Indianapolis, and West Central Indiana markets.
Prior to beginning his career in banking he attended Indiana University, earning a undergraduate degree in Public Policy in 1989, then earned his MBA in 1992 from Butler University.
Tom is a member of Rotary, and volunteers with Upward Basketball and the Huntington County United Way. He was born in Huntington, where he still lives with his wife and two children. The Mills are members of College Park United Brethren Church.
